These costs are based upon typical European prices. For other regions, prices may be substantially less or more. Important to note is sales tax. In Italy for example, this makes a 22% difference to the price whether you can deduct the tax or not. The prices on the right include VAT, full retail price. Excluding VAT and tools but including the amps and drivers, the speakers cost approximately 1700€ to build

    Hypex plate amps and speaker drivers. The goal is to build a pair of high quality speakers which you will keep and use for many years. However, the majority of the cost of the project is in these items which are perfectly resalable and reusable in other projects if necessary.

  • Material costs

    Stuff like wood, screws, glue, metal. This is the true core cost of this specific project when excluding the specialist audio items above.

  • Tools

    324€

    This includes a saw, drill, router, stapler, knife etc. Anyone who does woodworking already has these.
